American racing driver Carroll Shelby is known for his strokes of genius, whether in motor racing (Le Mans 1959 or 1966) or for his prepared cars. The story begins with a crazy idea: graft an American V8 on a small English car. Shelby partnered with an English manufacturer, AC. The Cobra was born in 1962. Several versions follow one another, including the famous 427 which carries a 7-litre "Big Block" 427 engine developing 420hp! Only 350 official copies exist in the world, so you are surely more likely to come across a copy than a real AC Cobra 427!
